 Understanding Systems Thinking

Understanding Complex Problems

There are a few unique characteristics which we use to distinguish comples problems from simple or complicated problems
These are namely,
  • Definablility
  • Existence of unknowns
  • Solvability
  • Reducability
  • Predictability

How to solve problems..

  • Linear Thinking

Considering that one thing leads to another in a stepwise fashion.

Identifying Cause effect relationship

When two events occur at the same time and in the same place; one evnt immediately precedes the other;               the second event appears unlikely to have happened without the first event having occurred.

Dealing with Complexity

  • Linear thinking could be a barrier
  • channel consultants/experts
  • Having diverse opinions
  • Information aggregation
